Johnny Kemp -- the guy who sang the 80s party anthem "Just Got Paid" ... died Thursday at the age of 55.
Originally from the Bahamas, Kemp died while vacationing in Jamaica. He was reportedly found floating on a beach in Montego Bay. It's unclear at this point what caused his death.
Kemp released his biggest hit in 1988 -- it reached #10 on the Billboard charts and #1 on the dance charts. It also got a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song.
By some accounts, Johnny Kemp died the week of April 16, 2015. He was found floating in the water of Montego Bay, Jamaica, on a cruise organized by radio host Tom Joyner. By others, though he was scheduled to perform on the cruise, he never joined it and therefore died elsewhere.

We Can’t Wait To See Jamie Foxx In This Awesome Remake
According to ComingSoon.net, Jamie Foxx and Michelle Monaghanhave been tapped to co-star in the remake of French thriller Sleepless Night, after an interesting 2014 withAnnie and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Sleepless Nightfollows the story of Vincent Downs (Foxx), a seemingly corrupt Las Vegas cop whose son is kidnapped by mobsters. Downs decides to go off the books to get his son back, dodging Internal Affairs, particularly officer Jennifer Bryant (Monaghan), and the mobsters themselves.
This remake is based off of the 2011 French thriller of the same name directed by Frederic Jardin. From the early sound of things, it’s very similar to Taken, but Foxx and Monaghan are compelling enough presences that I can imagine this going over well enough. Details, including a release date, are minimal.
Following is the new trailer for Batman vs. Robin (watch below),
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the cover art and more details for the April 14 release. Batman vs. Robin will be available on Blu-Ray Deluxe Edition, Blu-Ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD. The Blu-ray Deluxe Edition, will include the Blu-Ray Combo Pack, along with a Batman figurine in a gift set.
X-Men: Apocalypse
Younger version on the horizon?
Sansa Stark is now Jean Grey: "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner is one of three young actors cast as lead characters Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm in the forthcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse".
Directed by Brian Singer, "Apocalypse" is the next installment in the series of movies based on the superpowered mutants from Marvel comics. Previous movies have featured older versions of Jean, Cyclops and Storm, but the new sort-of-prequel sees Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp playing the characters when they were younger.

Turner is the younger Jean Grey, played in previous movies by Famke Janssen. Alexandra Shipp will play weather-controlling mutant Storm, taking over from Halle Berry. Shipp is best known for her work in shows including "Ray Donovan" and "House of Anubis". Last year she portrayed the late pop star Aaliyah in a biopic, and will soon be seen in another musical true story, "Straight Outta Compton", about rappers NWA.

Sheridan, previously seen in "Tree of Life" and "Mud", plays Cyclops, a mutant with laser eyes who was played in earlier movies as an older man by James Marsden.

There are currently two generations of actors playing the X-Men at different points in their lives. Adult versions of the mutant superteam were first seen in Singer's present day-set "X-Men" in 2000, before younger models turned up in 1960s-set prequel "X-Men: First Class". Both generations then appeared in the most recent movie "Days of Future Past" thanks to the magic of time travel. Next up, "Apocalypse" is set in the 1980s and continues the story of the younger characters.
Sadly, that means Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen will not appear as the older versions of mutant leaders Professor X and Magneto; instead, we'll just follow their younger selves as played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.
The villain of the new film is the titular Apocalypse, played by Oscar Isaac. Isaac is set for a big year between this month's robotic love triangle "Ex Machina" and little sci-fi flick "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens", coming in December.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" lands in theatres on 27 May 2016.
David Duchovny on Board with The X-Files Revival
News broke this weekend that FOX is in discussions to revive The X-Files and now David Duchovny has stated he’s ready to reprise the role of Agent Fox Mulder. On Tuesday, Duchovny told USA Today that he’s “more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again with (co-star) Gillian (Anderson) and (series creator) Chris (Carter).”
Fox TV Group chairman Gary Newman announced at the channel’s TCA presentation on Saturday that they’re in talks to revive Carter’s classic TV series. Newman had said that they would like to bring back Duchovny and Anderson.
The 54-year-old Duchovny added: “I’m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We’ll see what form, how many (episodes). Certainly I can’t nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We’re all old, we don’t have the energy for a full season.”
Duchovny is also part of the upcoming NBC series “Aquarius,” a show which FOX would presumably have to schedule around.
Running from 1993 to 2002, “The X-Files” ran for 202 episodes with a feature film set between seasons 5 and 6 and a second movie hitting theaters in 2008. “The X-Files” garnered 21 Emmy nominations while on the air, featured a spin-off series “The Lone Gunmen,” and debuted countless comics, video games, and other merchandise.

Johnny Gill Talks New Album
Interviewer say's his oldest daughter was named after Johnny
Crooner Johnny Gill is one of the few male singers who’s found as much success as a solo artist as he did in a platinum selling group.
Maybe the most amazing thing about it is that New Edition was not a group he started out in but he’s just as well known as a member as he is on his own. Not to mention Gill has been part of two other supergroups, LSG, with the late Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat and Heads of State with Ralph Tresvant and Bobby Brown.
Gill’s latest solo CD, “Game Changer” is on sale now. On the new recording, he works with both Babyface and New Edition.
“You know I couldn’t leave them out, or they couldn’t leave me out,” Gill laughs. “I just wanted to make great songs and not trying to compete with anybody. I just wanted to do what I do and stay in my lane. There’s a lane for just great music and I wanted to make sure our voices continued to be heard.”
Gill says there were 16 years in between his last two albums. Amazingly, he’s been in the music business for 31 years. He was discovered by fellow D.C. native Stacy Lattisaw and the two made some great duets together including their #1 hit “Where Do We Go From Here.”
Though urban legend has it that Gill was brought in to replace Bobby Brown, he was actually brought into replace Tresvant, who wanted to pursue a solo career. Though Ralph did release one solo album, the two ultimately shared leads on some of New Edition’s classic songs including “Can You Stand The Rain.”
“During that process of recording we just bonded,” says Gill. “That’s my right-hand man and we would up making some great music.”
Gill’s latest CD Game Changer is in stores now.
