So sorry to hear of the passing of one of my favorite horror writer, directors, Wes Craven. He was also from Cleveland, and was the director of one of my all time favorite horror movies, Scream. I have watched it more than 100 times, and counting. I can never get enough! I really love the way he combines horror and comedy. It's where I learned to never say, "I'll be right back"...and the rest of the rules for surviving a horror movie!
Rule #1. You can never have sex.
Rule #2. You can never drink or do drugs.
Rule #3. Never say, you guessed it, "I'll be right back!"
And it also contained what I consider one of the greatest performances by an actor, the part of Stu Marker (one of the killers) by Matthew Lillard. I still wonder to this day why he didn't get an award for the role. What made the movie so good for me is that, I consider the killers two of the worst psychopaths in any horror movie. They would kill at anytime. At a house party full of people and even with the police right there! And they were only teens! And of course, not to mention the Nightmare On Elm Street films! I for one, am really going to miss you Wes Craven!
