Simon Cowell was left "traumatized" after his London mansion was burgled as he and his family were sleeping inside.The TV mogul was targeted by a thief in the early hours of Friday morning (04Dec15), while he and girlfriend Lauren Silverman, along with their young son Eric, were asleep in the $56 million mansion in Holland Park.Editors of British newspaper The Sun report the burglar cracked a safe, and stole sentimental valuables, cash and jewelry.
A security guard alerted police to the break-in, but the thief had fled the scene before officers arrived.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman says, "Police were called to an address in W14 on Friday, 4 December, at approximately 02:20hrs to reports of a burglary in progress. Officers attended the scene but the suspect had left the area."
