Pilot Of Morgan Freeman´s Plane Forced To Make Emergency Landing In Mississippi

Morgan Freeman has been involved in another mid-air drama - but this time he wasn´t piloting the plane.The private jet he commissioned for a trip on Saturday (05Dec15) was forced to make an emergency landing in Tunica, Mississippi just minutes after take-off.
Reports suggest the actor was on his way to a National Geographic photo shoot and quickly took off again in another plane.
Freeman´s attorney Bill Luckett, who is also the Mayor of the star´s adopted Clarksdale, Mississippi, insists his client and the pilot of the plane are fine after the drama, which ended with the private jet coming to a halt in a field at the end of the runway.
The emergency landing came just over a year after the Oscar-winning actor safely landed a malfunctioning plane en route to the Toronto Film Festival in Canada.
The Shawshank Redemption star was flying his own jet from Mississippi home to the event when he was forced to make a series of landings.
He arrived an hour late to a film premiere and told The Hollywood Reporter, "The slats would not retract in the air... We were about 10 minutes in the air trying to get them to retract but they didn´t, so we went back and landed... I was never in any danger, but I had to put the plane away and take out the other plane."
Freeman was not piloting the plane forced to make an emergency landing on Saturday night.
