Lindsay Lohan´s Brother Refuses Plea Deal Over New York City Arrest

Lindsay Lohan´s brother has rejected a plea deal linked to his October (15) arrest for criminal impersonation in New York City.Michael C. Lohan, Jr. stands accused of attempting to avoid paying for parking by using a fake placard, suggesting he worked for the New York State Executive Branch, on his 2015 Audi.
A police officer spotted the forged sign on the car, which had been left outside the 27 year old´s Manhattan apartment building, and took Michael into custody after he failed to prove he worked for the Executive Branch.
He faced charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal impersonation in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday (14Dec15), when his lawyer, Mark Heller, refused to accept prosecutor Michelle Winters´ plea offer, which would have allowed Michael to walk free by pleading guilty to a disorderly conduct violation and completing two days of community service.
After the hearing, Heller, who previously represented Lindsay in her past Big Apple legal issues, insisted his client is innocent.
"In order for the defendant to be convicted of any crime, there has to have been intent to commit a crime," he told reporters. "This individual had absolutely no intent to commit any crime. I´m completely confident this case will be dismissed."
The case was subsequently adjourned until February (16), reports the New York Daily News.
