Soulja Boy Battling Fraud Over Online Store Purchases

Rapper Soulja Boy is facing a $174,000 (GBP116,000) hit after discovering transactions made through his Souljaboards online store are fraudulent.The Crank That (Soulja Boy) star has contacted bosses at online payment processing company Stripe claiming many sales made for hoverboards through his online store have been disputed and he is now on the hook for the purchases.According to Buzzfeed.com, emails between the 25 year old and bosses at Stripe indicate many of the purchases were paid for by stolen credit cards and resulted in a chargeback, a transaction that is subsequently refunded after a credit card holder disputes it. After the money is refunded, the merchant is still responsible for the payment.
"I need help all the payments are fraud, and it sent my account to negative because they all say they weren´t authorized," Soulja Boy wrote in one message. "please help in any way you can thanks. I don´t want to have to pay all this money because of frauds is there any way to reverse these payments and get my account to Good standing (sic)."
The rapper has been corresponding with the company since earlier this year (15). It is unclear if a solution has been reached.
