The Final The Hunger Games Film Makes It Three Weeks Atop North American Box Office

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 has fended off a charge from new horror comedy Krampus to continue its reign over the North American box office.The final installment of the action films, starring Jennifer Lawrence, banked $18.6 million to hold on to the number one spot for a third consecutive week, just ahead of low-budget holiday release Krampus, which debuts at two with $16 million .Rocky spin-off Creed, animated movie The Good Dinosaur and the latest James Bond epic, Spectre, round out the new top five.
Meanwhile, Spike Lee´s Chi-Raq, a drama about gun violence in Chicago, opens at 13 with $1.3 million in takings from a limited release in 305 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
